Kia Ora and welcome to NZ SurfBros! Located in the picturesque town of Ahipara, right at the base of the renowned 90 Mile Beach in the beautiful far north, we are just a 4.5-hour drive from Auckland. As a small, locally owned business we are passionate about sharing our love for surfing and the community with locals and visitors alike.

 

Ahipara  is a surfer's paradise, with numerous surf breaks that tailors to surfers of all levels, from the absolute beginner to the advanced surfer. Most notably, Te Kōhanga (Shipwreck Bay) is one of NZ's best left-hand point breaks.  Our coaches are experienced in choosing surf locations that cater to both the conditions and each surfer's skill level.

There is also a wealth of activities awaiting you in our vibrant community—ranging from horse trekking along 90 Mile Beach to quad biking, fishing, swimming, yoga, and basking in the sun with your favorite book. Join us for an adventure!

Our business is grounded in a deep respect for the local iwi, whose connection to this land and ocean stretches back generations. We recognize that the waters we surf are not just a playground, but a taonga—treasured and protected through tikanga and kaitiakitanga. We are committed to honoring this relationship by acting responsibly, caring for the marine environment, and ensuring our presence in the water reflects gratitude, humility, and stewardship.​​
